A Study on the Contents of Heavy Metal in Blood, Urine and Hair of Taxi Driver of Kun San Area

Abstract

|
Heavy metals in bood. urine and hair of 90 taxi-drivers in kunsan city and 60 rural inhabitants (seong-san Meyon, Okugun) were examined during from February to August. 1991. The average amounts of heavy metals in each group are summarized as follows;
1. Blood - Lead contents were 23.70mg/dl in driver and 18.12mg/dl in rural inhabitants; and cadmium were 0.16mg/dl and 0.12mg/di respectively.
2. Urine - Lead contents were 33.86mg/i and 28.31mg/i in drivers group and rural inhabitants respectively; candmium were 0. 5mg/dl and 0.13mg/dl in rural inhabitants, and driver group respectively.
3. Hair - Lead contents were 10.26mg/kg in driver and 6.94mg/kg in rural inhabitants; Cadmium were 0.52mg/kg and 0.40mg/kg in drivers and rural inhabitants respectively.
